To be married at Surfsong Villa, we require that you stay with us for a minimum of 5 nights in high season or 3 nights in low season. There is no location fee and you may choose from several packages and amend packages with a la Carte services.

Surfsong’s wedding packages are offered for an equal number of guests attending the wedding to staying at the resort to ensure the privacy of our guests and their full enjoyment of our tranquil facilities. Weddings with attendees not staying at the resort must be fully approved by Surfsong.

We provide the freshest ingredients and best menu options from our nearby restaurants and talented local chefs – the menu options change weekly and include a variety of selections that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.  Please advise us of dietary restrictions and preferences when reserving these packages. 

BVI Marriage License
Getting married in the B.V.I. is uncomplicated. You may choose one of Surfsong Villa Resort’s wedding packages to include all stamp payments and handling of the paperwork.
Anyone wishing to get married in the BVI must apply for a marriage license. A special marriage license is available to any couple whom do not reside in the BVI with the purchase of $110.00 BVI Postage stamps from the Post Office on Main street. The license will take 3 full working days to process, (not including weekends or public holidays). Once the Governor has granted a license, it remains valid for three (3) months from the date it is signed.
Proof of identity, arrival date in the BVI, and marital status are also required, in the form of a passport or notarized birth certificate with picture. If you have been widowed or divorced, the original death certificate or divorce papers are needed. (If these are unobtainable, a Decree Absolute from a lawyer will suffice).
The registrar will require the names, ages and occupations of the couple to be married and the names of the two witnesses to the ceremony. The fees payable to the registrar’s Office are $35.00 if the wedding is performed in the office or $100.00 if it is performed elsewhere.
The ceremony is conducted according to the British Law. Ceremonies can be arranged Monday to Saturday.
As with any commonwealth country, the only records of your wedding on your return home are your marriage certificates given to you after the marriage ceremony.

Wedding Policy
Surfsong Villa Resort will not host weddings without accommodations to ensure the privacy of our guests and their full enjoyment of our tranquil facilities.

There is no location fee for wedding ceremonies from 2 – 14 guests, in which all attendees are staying at the resort for the required minimum stay.

Surfsong’s wedding packages are offered for an equal number of guests attending the wedding to staying at the resort.

For weddings with additional guests not being accommodated at the resort, there is a minimum location fee of $250. Time shall be limited to two hours in total for use of our facilities for your ceremony and toasts/appetizers. The total number of guests shall not exceed 14.

Catering must be arranged through Surfsong Resort. Some corkage fees apply if all guests are not being accommodated at the resort. Rentals of china and table seating may be necessary and are at an additional expense. Parking arrangements, transportation, entertainment and use of PA and sound systems are additional costs to the location fees and are to be agreed upon with Surfsong’s management.

Celebrations of more than 14 guests must be fully approved and contracted with Surfsong Villa Resort on an individual basis.
